Today my little handsome first grader volunteered to cook some eggs for breakfast ! I was excited because that meant that he also intended to EAT the eggs! ( Please don't notice the dorky pajamas - he still likes to wear them, and I think that they are cute.)
He cracked the eggs all by himself, getting only a teensy bit of shell in the bowl. We fished that out, then he added the milk, did the whisking, and finally cooked them up , light and fluffy. He had them with toast, blueberry jam, and sausage. It was probably the biggest breakfast he has eaten in three months. I was really proud.
